STANDARD AND APPROVALS
BS EN149 covers filtering face pieces, provided with filters rated as FFP1, 2 or 3; Masks will be marked with an expiry date and with an R if reusable or NR if not (the latter are ‘single-shift’ masks).
Easimask FFP3 FSM16 meets the requirements of the European Standard EN 149:2001 + A1:2009, respiratory protective devices, filtering half masks to protect against particles. Requirements: testing, marking. There are 3 classifications (FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3) of half filtering masks based on their filtering efficiency and maximum total inward leakage.
Performance tests required by the standard include; penetration of filter material, leakage, breathing resistance, compatibility with skin and flammability. Easimask® filtering half masks conform with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Directive 89/686/EEC and are CE marked. FSH hold an EC Type-Examination Certificate for these products issued by INSPEC International Ltd (Notified Body number: 0194).
